MacroSync

Terms of Service

Last updated 3 August 2026

These terms govern your use of MacroSync at www.macrosync.co.uk. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

MacroSync is not medical advice. Calorie and macro targets are estimates produced by a standard formula from the figures you enter. They take no account of your medical history, medication, pregnancy, eating disorders or any other individual circumstance. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making significant changes to your diet or exercise, and never disregard medical advice because of something you read here.

1. The service

MacroSync lets you log food and workouts, track weight and macros, browse an exercise library, optionally sync health data from Google, and share content with other users in a community feed. It is provided free of charge and is offered as-is.

2. Your account

3. Accuracy of information

Nutrition figures come from the community-maintained Open Food Facts database and are not guaranteed to be accurate or complete. Exercise instructions and demonstration images are general guidance, not personal coaching, and are not a substitute for supervision by a qualified trainer. You are responsible for exercising safely and within your ability.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

5. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you post. By posting to the community feed you grant MacroSync a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display and distribute that content within the service, for the purpose of operating it. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already held in routine backups.

Workout routines you mark as public may be viewed and copied by other users. Routines left private are visible only to you.

6. Moderation

Administrators and moderators may remove community posts and comments that breach these terms. Administrators may additionally remove routines and suspend or delete accounts. We aim to be proportionate, but we may act without prior notice where content is harmful.

7. Google Health

Connecting Google Health is optional and can be withdrawn at any time in Settings. MacroSync requests read-only access and cannot alter your Google Health record. What we collect and how it is protected is set out in the Privacy Policy. Your use of Google's own services remains governed by Google's terms.

8. Availability

MacroSync is a personal project provided without any guarantee of uptime, and features may change or be withdrawn. We may suspend the service for maintenance, and we do not promise that it will always be available or error-free. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

9. Ending your use

You may delete your account at any time; doing so removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, or where required by law.

10. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MacroSync is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for any injury, loss or damage arising from your use of the service, from reliance on any figure or instruction it provides, or from any unavailability or loss of data.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and continuing to use MacroSync after an update means you accept the revised terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
